The Mining 2010 Resources Convention is one of Australia’s most widely regarded events within the resources industry and it is anticipated this year’s event will be the most paramount yet.
The conference will run over three days, from 27 to 29 October, and will include two Auditoriums covering topics such as Metals Outlook, Funds Management, International Outlook, Exploration in Australia and Junior Company Presentations, with over 80 companies showcasing the latest they have to offer.

Spiros joined National Australia Bank in 1996. In 2000 he moved to the UK, where he was the Senior Economist in the NAB’s dealing room in London. Spiros returned to Melbourne in 2001 to take up his current role. Prior to joining National Australia Bank, Spiros worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia, in various roles in their Economic Analysis Group. Spiros is also involved with Kaplan Education, where he sits on the Taskforce Committee for the Economics subjects.

ClimateSmart Business Clusters –
Expressions of Interest Close 17 November
The ClimateSmart Business Cluster Program helps Queensland small and medium business lower greenhouse gas emissions, save on energy, water, materials and waste, and reduce business costs.
Since the program commenced in 2009, 60 Clusters consisting of over 1000 businesses from Brisbane to Cairns and out to Longreach, have participated. Business Clusters provide a forum for business groups to work together, grow and conduct business in cleaner ways. A Cluster Leader will motivate, improve knowledge and assist participants to reduce business costs by improving eco-efficiency.
Funding of $10,000 is available for approved clusters. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Cluster Leader read the fact sheet or email the Clusters team at business.clusters@derm.qld.gov.au
