The intended coal mining in the area gives us some encouragement in creating more jobs in the region of the Fraser Coast
Are we being told the truth about jobs in the Fraser Coast in this mining scenario?
*ARE WE BEING SNOWED BY NOT TELLING US THE ENTIRE TRUTH??
Of the 100 jobs [a magic number] how many are going to locals – Apparently none.
I am told that all these jobs have already been allocated to others not living in the area who have more experience than the local Fraser Coast peoples.
Not one job has been set aside for local persons.
Does that mean all the moneybeing made here from the mines goes to the bosses and shareholders of the mines-the government in taxes-the workers who take the money back to their wives etc in another area after their shift every so many weeks.
Next thing is that all food and support services will be sourced from outside this area.
If the mining people want us to support the mining initiative they need to ensure that at least 20% of all jobs go to local people.
W e need to make absolutely sure that there are at least some benefits to our local economy before we allow these mines to plunder our bounty.
To date I have personally supported the mining proposal.
CONVINCE ME I AM RIGHT IN DOING SO MR BARKER OF NORTHERN ENERGY
